A fire, initiated from a short circuit, broke out at the Metropolitan Sessions Judges Court in the capital’s Old Dhaka on Thursday morning.
A team of Fire Service and Civil Defence rushed to the spot, but the flames were doused before they could reach it.
The fire broke out at the fifth floor beside a lift around noon, liftman Mazedul Islam told the Dhaka Tribune. “It was a small fire. Nothing happened.”
Court custody Officer-in-Charge Abu Musa endorsed the information and added that the fire broke out from a short circuit. “No casualties.”
