Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina greeted Rawshan Ershad, HM Ershad and Khaleda Zia on the eve of Bangla Nabo Borsho 1421.
On Wednesday the Premier sent greetings card to the leaders, her Deputy Press Secretary Ashraful Alam Khokon told Dhaka Tribune.
The card portraying the fervour of Pohela Baishakh has been crafted with a painting by autistic child Risat Hossain.
Hasina’s Protocol Officer Sheikh Akhtar Hossain handed over the “Nabo Barsho” greetings cards to Rawshan and Ershad at the opposition leader's office at Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban at 4pm, reported the national news agency BSS.
According to BSS report, the protocol officer later handed another greeting card to Khaleda Zia's Special Assistant Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas at the BNP chairperson's Gulshan Office at 5pm.
Rawshan, presidium member of the Jatya Party, is currently the Leader of the Opposition in the parliament.
Khaleda, chairperson of BNP, was the opposition leader in the immediate past parliament. She also served the country as prime minister for several times.
HM Ershad, the military ruler turned political leader, is the chairman of Jatiya party. He is also the special envoy to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
