Bangladesh has not yet been listed in the Guinness book of world records for the national anthem.
Guinness authorities said this issuing a clarification in this regard.
Guinness authorities clarified to people's queries for the official record: We are currently waiting to recieve evidence for the record claim for most people singing a national/regional anthem simultaneously that was initiated by the Bangladesh Government on March 26, the Independence Day of the country.
The official page of the Guinness record shows the current record for this category stands at 121,653 which was achieved at Lucknow, India, on May 6, 2013. They remared the reason for the delay by statting that they had no representatives at the event, only "remote adjudications service."
The Genuiness official page stated -
"Guinness World Records, the global authority on record breaking achievement, provided The Ministry of Cultural Affairs, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, with remote adjudications service for the official record. Most people singing a national/regional anthem simultaneously.
The remote adjudication service means our representatives were not present at the event, however did provide the video and guidelines as well as quick verification of their evidence.
We are currently waiting to receive their evidence for their record claim for the most people singing a national/regional anthem simultaneously and we look forward to receiving the evidence."
For the moment, the current record for this category stands at 121,653 which was achieved at Lucknow, India, on May 6, 2013.’
