Oman to hire 35 doctors, 50 nurses

Update : 08 Apr 2014, 01:44 PM

Oman is set to hire 35 Bangladeshi doctors and 50 nurses for the country’s Rusayl Health Center.

Bangladesh Overseas Employment Services Limited (BOESL), a government sponsored recruiting agency, would process the recruitment.

BOESL General Manager Zahirul Islam told the Dhaka Tribune: “We will process the recruitment as the interested doctors and nurses do not want to go through private recruiting agencies who charges huge amount of money for processing.

According to BOESL, the selected candidates have to pay only Tk60, 000 as service charge and no more charges will be added with the amount.

Of the candidates, 25 MBBS doctors will get $2100 each as monthly salary along with other facilities while 10 aviation specialist doctors will get $2600 each, says BOESL source.

Meanwhile, 25 male nurses would be recruited with monthly wages of $760 while 25 female nurses would be recruited with monthly wages of $730 each.

Interested doctors and nurses have to apply to BOESL by April 15.

Oman is one of the labourer recipient countries that recruit manpower from Bangladesh. In 2014, Oman has recruited 27,137 workers from Bangladesh in the first three months, according to the Bureau of Manpower, Employment and Training (BMET) website.
