Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk) has been given a new chairman while that of Insurance Development & Regulatory Authority (IDRA) has been reinstated.
Former chairman of National Housing Authority GM Jainal Abedin Bhuiyan has been made a contractual chairman of Rajuk.
Former chairman of IRDA M Shefaque Ahmed was reappointed to his position for the next three years.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued two separate orders in regard to the appointments on Tuesday, to be effective from their joining date.
The two officials will have to sever all ties with any other companies or organizations for the contractual job.
Former bureaucrat Jainal Abedin Bhuiyan, who is now on post-retirement leave, will be cancelled. He is replacing outgoing Rajuk chairman Nurul Huda.
The tenure of contractual appointment of Nurul Huda, a retired civil engineer worked for public works department, will expired on April 20.
The chairman post of IRDA was vacated after the three-year contract of Shefaque Ahmed expired on January 26 this year.
Later, the government issued a circular with an order for bestowing the charges of the chairman to Md. Fazlul Karim, the lone existing member of IDRA.
