Celebrated actors Suborna Mustafa and Shahiduzzaman Selim paired up for a new TV play titled Aji Bijon Ghore. Written by Shahid Raman and directed by Rahmatullah Tuhin, the creative duo will be seen as husband-wife on screen.
Story of the drama revolves around Abir, who established himself as a painter and expresses the love for his motherland through his artworks. He is married to an ambitious and carrier oriented woman named Ruba, who moved abroad to further her career. Although they live apart in different countries, their relationship is far from being officially over. When Abir starts to bring up a girl named Rini as his daughter, he is misunderstood by his wife. On his death, Ruba returns to Bangladesh.
About pairing with Suborna, co-actor Selim said: “To me, she is like a guru and mentor. From her, I have learnt so many things in theatre that I can’t express in a word. Working with her always makes me emotional. Every time I work with her, I learn something new.
I hope our audience will appreciate our work together.”
Suborna and Selim first appeared as pair on the direction of M Hamid in Mamuli Bepar. In theatre, both of them worked together in Kittonkhola. They also appeared in a drama series named Gronthikgon Kohe. Suborna Mustafa also acted in a few drama serial directed by Selim like Sporsher Baire and Rongchhut.
