58 load-shed free days in Dhaka

In the past, day to day activities in Dhaka city without any load-shedding was a dream that many did not dare to think of.

However, Bangladesh Power Development Board information says there has been no power cut in the 58 days which may provide optimism for the people as it is quite unusual.

According to the information, in the 58 days of February and March, the supply was consistently sufficient to meet the demands of every day power needs, averaging at 2283.032 megawatt per day.

However, the data recording that started from February 1 till March 31 shows that the statistics for February 27 is unavailable.

The information suggests that in the two months of power recording, March 30 had the highest demand for electricity, with 2742 megawatt.

While, the lowest demand for electricity was 1779 megawatt on February 7.

Consistent power supply was a far cry for almost the first decade after the millennium in Bangladesh.
