A group of Bangladesh Chhatra Leadue (BCL) activists of Chittagong University unit have vandalised several cars and buses on the campus on Sunday, leaving one teacher injured.
The injured teacher was Sojib Kumar, associate professor of Marketing Studies Department of the university.
CU Assistant Proctor Anwar Hossain said: “Following the incident of beating an AL leader on Saturday, the supporters of Babul vandalised several cars and buses at CU no.1 gate, leaving a teacher injured around 8:30am.”
“The situation has been brought under control now,” Hathajari police station Officer-in-Charge Ismail Hossain said.
On Saturday, a group of BCL activists of Chittagong University unit beat up Nasir Haider Babul, assistant secretary of a central sub-committee of Awami League and also former general secretary of BCL, on the campus.
