Bir Uttam Lt. Shahid Anwar Girls School and College won the title of the National School and College Taekwondo at the gymnasium of the National Sports Council yesterday.
Shahid Anwar was adjudged as the overall champions for their performances in both the school and college sections. Adamjee Cantonment College was the best in the college section while Muslim Modern Academy, Shahid Ramizuddin and Adarsha Bidya Niketon shared the top spot of the school section.
Deputy minister for sports, Arif Khan Joy distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest. Shivnath Roy, the secretary of NSC and Kazi Morshed Kamal, the president of taekwondo federation were also present on the occasion.
