A Dhaka court has granted bail to two persons who were arrested from Shahbagh in two separate cases filed by Gonojagoron Moncho and Muktijoddha Sangsad Santan Command.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Imdadul Hoque bailed Shams Rashid Joy, a Moncho activist, and Mehedi Hasan, president of Muktijoddha Sangsad Santan Command, on Saturday afternoon.
Five other detainees were released from the police station upon taking bonds from them, Shahbagh police station Officer-in-Charge Sirajul Islam told Dhaka tribune.
Both Gonojagoron Moncho and Muktijoddha Sangsad Santan Command filed separate cases with Shahbagh police station on early Friday, against each other for the attack on Thursday night.
The cases were filed following their failures to reach any understanding at a meeting held at Shahbagh police station in the presence of some policemen.
