Ever wondered where do the poorest people live in Bangladesh? Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) has an answer to your question.
According to BBS report, the largest number of people below the upper poverty line lives in two divisions of Bangladesh. The divisions are- Rajshahi and Barisal.
The final version of the poverty map was produced on February 9, 2009.
BBS and World Bank had produced the maps in collaboration with World Food Programme.
Upper poverty lines represent a higher level of per capital household expenditure than a lower poverty line.
