Bir Uttam Lt Shahid Anwar Girls School and College won seven gold medals in the opening day of the National School and College Taekwondo in the Sultana Kamal Women’s Sports Complex yesterday.
Muslim Modern Academy won four gold medals to be positioned second in the medal table while Shahid Ramizuddin Cantonment School was placed third with three gold medals.
A total four hundred participants of 12 schools across the capital are participating in the two day meet.
Brig Gen ASM Musfiqur Rahman, the director (education) of Bangladesh Army inaugurated the meet as the chief guest. Mahmudul Islam Rana, the general secretary of Bangladesh Taekwondo Federation was also present on the occasion.
