The members of law enforcement agencies will remain alert ahead of Pahela Baishakh celebration, State Minister for Home Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has said.
The junior minister told this to journalists after a meeting on security measures ahead of the Bangla New Year 1421 celebration.
Necessary measures will also be taken to ensure security in Hatirjheel area in the capital as it has become a spot where people gather in different celebrations, Asaduzzaman said.
Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Benazir Ahmed and Border Guard Bangladesh Director General Aziz Ahmed also attended the meeting held at the home ministry presided over by the state minister for home.
