The deputy commissioner of Chittagong has been changed, what a gazette issued by the Ministry of Public Administration said on Wednesday.
Former Deputy Commissioner Abdul Mannan has been withdrawn and appointed as a joint secretary to the Ministry of Commerce.
Local government division Joint Secretary Mesbah Uddin has been made the new deputy commissioner for Chittagong.
Meanwhile, three additional divisional commissioners have also been appointed in two districts.
OSD Joint Secretary Abdur Rashid and Noakhali District Parishad Chief Executive Officer Al Amin were made additional divisional commissioners of Sylhet.
Jhalkathi District Parishad Chief Executive Officer Nurul Alam was made additional divisional commissioner for Barisal.
The move came within a month into upazila election throughout the country following the three-month rule of renewed Awami league government.
