The candidate affiliated with the ruling Awami League has unofficially won in Pakundia upazila of Kishoreganj district in the fifth phase of upazila poll held on Monday.
Awami League-backed candidate Rafiqul Islam Renu has bagged 46,995 votes and his nearest BNP-backed candidate Akhtaruzzaman got 44,299 votes.
