Two aspiring directors Md Sazzad Hossain and Arafatul Kabir Rizvi will release their first film “Swarup Sondhan” on the occasion of the National Film Festival Day.
The information was disclosed in a press release issued on Saturday.
After five years of direction and editing, the four-hour long film will finally be released on April 2.
Bangladesh Shilpokala Academy will screen the film around 4pm on the day of its release at Jatiya Chirtrashala Auditorium.
The history of Bangladeshi films, cultural changes and language evolution has been portrayed in the film.
Director Md Sazzad Hossain said: “The objective of directing the film is to find out about the evolution of film language and cultural change in it as per the political scenario.”
He also hoped that the film will be helpful to the future researchers and directors of film.
Besides, Bangladesh Shilpokala Academy and Udichi Shilpogosthi will also screen the film over the country.
