A candidate of this year’s SSC examination has been killed as a bus rammed him at Naojor area in Gazipur on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Ashiquzzaman, 18, son of Abdul Salek Mia of Kuribiso village under Gongachora village in Rangpur.
Naojor highway police station Sergeant Md Iqbal Hossain said: “A recklessly driven bus rammed Ashiquzzaman while he was crossing Dhaka-Tangail highway around 7:45am, killing him on the spot.”
He said: “Ashiquzzaman appeared for this year’s SSC examination and had come to visit his relatives in Gazipur.”
The Sergeant said the body has been recovered and sent to Gazipur Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
