Major General Md Shamsul Haque has been appointed director general of the National Security Intelligence (NSI) on deputation.
Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification in this regard on Tuesday afternoon.
Shamsul will replace Brigadier General Monzur Ahmed (Retd) as the duration of his contractual appointment expired on March 18. Earlier, Monzur’s contract was twice extended after his appointment in May 16, 2009.
Shamsul had been serving the Sena Kalyan Sangstha as the chairman from May 19 last year.
