Directives on vehicular movement for March 26

On the occasion of the Independence Day, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has imposed restrictions on the vehicular movements on some specific roads and areas in the capital and its outskirts Savar for specific periods on March 26.

The DMP authorities in separate directives Tuesday also asked the mass people to opt for different roads and areas avoiding those roads and areas so that VVIPs like the president, prime minister and other VIPs could move smoothly.

In one of the directives, restriction has been imposed on the road from Aminbazar to Nobinagar from 4:00am to 10:30am for the scheduled movements of the president, prime minister and other VVIPs and VIPs to show honour to the martyred at the National Mausoleum in Savar.

The DMP authorities mentioned that excepting for the VIPs, none would be allowed to ply vehicles on the road from Aminbazar to Nobinagar in Savar from 6:30am to 11:00am and for the mentioned period, the mass people have been asked to use the roads through Ashulia, Uttara and Tongi.

In another directive, the roads and areas surrounding the Bangabhaban have been restricted for mass people so that VVIPs like prime minister and VIPs like diplomats could call on the honourable president at the Bangabhaban from 12:00pm on March 26 to until the function is ended.

The roads include Zero Point to Rajuk intersection via Gulistan underpass, Sergeant Ahad Police Outpost to Rajuk crossing via Ittefaq intersection, Alico and Dilkhusha.

Besides, for the scheduled function of ‘Lakho Konthe Sonar Bangla’ at the National Parade Ground at Tejgaon, restrictions on the transport movement have also been imposed on the roads surrounding the parade ground and its adjacent areas from 5:30am to until the conclusion of the function.
