Rail communication on the Chandpur-Laksham route has resumed after 12 hours of halt following the derailment of a train in Chandpur.
One carriage of a train derailed near Ghoramara area around 9pm on Sunday night, Chandpur Railway Station Master Maruf Hossain said.
Train services resumed on the Chandpur-Laksham route around 9:45am on Monday after relief trains rescued the derailed train, he added.
“Inter city Meghna Express, which was scheduled to depart at 5am, left the station at 9:45am.”
