Popular model and actor Arifin Shuvoo and aspiring actor Achol signed up for a film titled Kistimat. This is the first time the duo will share screen space together. Directed by Ashiqur Rahman, the film’s shooting commenced from March 15 at BFDC (Bangladesh Film Development Corporation). Misha Showdagor and Tiger Robi are the anti-heroes of the movie.
Kistimat is an entertainment packed movie featuring action, romance and drama and is bound to hold the interest of the audience with its striking star cast and unique script. The story of the film is written by Kashem Ali Dulal.
A police officer named Durjoy lives a reckless life and is insincere to his duties. After some time, he understands his duties as a police officer and becomes serious. At one point, he makes enemy out of powerful corrupted people of the society which threatens his life.
A major element in the film is its music which is directed by young talents Shawkat Ali Emon, Imran, Naveed and Shuchi Shams. The film contains five songs including an item song and a title song. Shooting of the film will be held in home and abroad.
While shooting the title song from the film, director Ashiqur Rahman said: “My film Kistimat is all about portraying the social norms. But the twist is that I will depict these in a humorous manner and by no means it is an easy task.”
Talking about the cast, he said: “For the character of the police officer, I was looking for a handsome dashing hero like Arifin Shuvoo. He has already made a niche for himself in the action genre and the audience appreciates him in such roles. On the other hand, I wanted a cute heroine and I found Achol to be perfect for the character.”
Kistimat will hit the cinemas on July-August this year. This is Ashiqur Rahman’s second film. His first film Gangster Returns will hit the cinemas mid April.
