Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s political adviser HT Imam has alleged that the BNP supporters manipulate votes and occupied polling centres during the fourth phase upazila parishad election on Sunday.
He made the allegation in a press briefing in the Awami League president’s Dhanmondi office on Sunday afternoon.
He said: “We have reports regarding vote rigging, occupying polling centres, snatching ballot boxes by the BNP supporters,.”
“Though there were violent situations in Patuakhali, Jhalokathi, Sylhet, Chittagong, Comilla during the election, however overall situation has been taken under control,” he added.
