Two people have been killed and one injured as a microbus collided with a Dhaka bound bus at Auchkandi area on Dhaka-Sylhet highway under Nabiganj upazila in Habiganj on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Razab Ali, 42, of Savar and another woman, 32 of the same area.
Sherpur highway police station Officer-in-Charge Humayun Kabir said: “The bus driver lost control over its steering and collided head-on with a Sylhet-bound microbus at Auchkandi area around 3.30pm on Friday.”
He said: “Razab Ali and the unidentified woman died on the spot. The injured have been admitted to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College.”
Later, police seized the bus and the microbus.
