Three alleged forest bandits of Shirsho Bahini have been killed in a ‘gunfight’ with Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel at Tambulbunia canal of Shoronkhola Range in Sundarbans on Tuesday morning.
Two of the deceased were identified as Abdul Quader and Kollan Mia.
RAB 8 Deputy Commander Major Anwarul Kabir has confirmed the deaths.
He said: “Some 16 arms of different kinds were recovered after searching their den.”
The deputy commander also claimed the deceased to be the members of Shirsho Bahini.
