Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday has paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing wreaths at his portrait in front of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi in the capital.
On the occasion of the 94th birth anniversary of the great leader and the National Children’s Day-2014, she has first laid a wreath at the portrait of Bangabandhu at 7:30am as the Prime Minister.
She has stood in solemn silence there for some time as a mark of respect to the memory of the legendary leader.
Along with the central leaders, Sheikh Hasina, also president of Bangladesh Awami League and daughter of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, has placed another wreath at the portrait of Bangabandhu on behalf of her party.
Among others, Deputy Leader of Jatiya Sangsad Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury, Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu, Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed, Agriculture Minister Begum Matia Chowdhury were present.
