The government has not intervened in any election process of upazila poll, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s political adviser HT Imam has said.
He has rejected BNP’s allegation of intervention by ruling Awami League in the upazila poll.
HT Imam has claimed this while talking to journalists at the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s Dhanmondi political office on Saturday afternoon.
However, he has ascertained that the election has been held in a free and fair way.
“The EC is responsible to hold the election, however it is not the government,” he has also said, adding: “We believe that the election will be acceptable to all.”
