Veteran filmmaker and chief operating officer of the private television channel SATV, Syed Salahuddin Zaki, has been flown to Bangkok General hospital for better treatment, SATV’s Adviser Kha Ma Harun told the Dhaka Tribune.
Zaki was carried by Air Ambulance that took off at 11pm on Thursday from Shahjalal International Airport.
Earlier, he was on life support at the capital’s LabAid Hospital from Wednesday evening.
He was admitted at the hospital on Saturday with several complications with his lung, kidney and heart, Harun added.
Syed Salahuddin Zaki was a freedom fighter and one of the few who were behind the birth of Dhaka Theatre.
He was the director general of state-run Bangladesh Television (BTV) and the executive director of Film Development Corporation (FDC) in his career.
