Bogra police has handed over the of the Sonali Bank burglary case to Detective Branch (DB) police on Thursday afternoon.
Bogra District Superintendent of Police Mozammel Haque confirmed the Dhaka Tribune about the transfer of the case.
On March 8, about Tk32.5 lakh was stolen from Sonali Bank’s Adamdighi branch in Bogra. Burglars dug a tunnel from a nearby furniture shop to reach the vault of the bank.
Later, the bank’s Bogra zone Deputy General Manager Abdus Samad filed a case with Adamdighi police station regarding the matter on March 9.
Earlier, in similar fashion robbers took away Tk16.4 crore from the Sonali Bank main branch in Kishoreganj on January 24.
