A district court has sentenced a man to death in a case filed against him for killing his wife.
Gazipur Women and Children Repression and Prevention Judge Fatema Najib passed the order on Wednesday afternoon.
The convict is Faruk.
Faruk had smashed his wife Fatema’s head with a brick in front of their children Sakib and Rakib in the terrace of a hospital at College Gate area in Tongi on October 29, 2011.
Later, Fatema died on the same night at the hospital.
Deceased’s mother Khadeza Begum had filed a case with Tongi police station in this connection.
