Three members of a family have been killed as a private car rammed them in Dharonbazar area in Sunamganj.
The deceased were identified as Alatun Nessa, 25, her daughter Shumena Akhter, 4, her nephew Riaz Uddin, 7.
Joykolosh highway police outpost Sub-Inspector Nazrul said: “A Sunamganj-bound private car rammed the three passersby while they were crossing the road in Dharonbazar area in Sylhet-Sunamganj road around 8am on Wednesday, killing the three on the spot.”
He said: “Highway police have seized the private car.”
Sunamganj Police Super Harunur Rashid also confirmed about the accident to the Dhaka Tribune.
