A person died as a passenger trawler capsized in the middle of Shitalakshya River in Kaliganj upazila of Gazipur on Tuesday morning.
Deceased Limon, 23, was an operator of Pran Food and Beverage.
The rescue team recovered the body around 11:40am, chief of the team Nurul Alam told the Dhaka Tribune.
The trawler carrying 50 to 60 passengers capsized in the middle of ShitalakshyaRiver around 9am on Tuesday.
Kaligonj police station Officer-in-Charge Nazmul Hassan Bhuiyan said: “The Polash Ghat bound-trawler had left Jamapur Ghat around 6:30am. We did not get any information about any passenger missing in the incident.”
