Bangladeshi peacekeeper dies in Congo

A Bangladeshi peacekeeper stationed in UN Peacekeeping mission in Congo died of heart attack on Saturday.

Peacekeeper Md Amir Hossain, 29, breathed his last at 7:45am on Saturday (local time), an ISPR press release said this on Monday, reports BSS.

Amir, a soldier of Bangladesh army joined the MONUSCO peacekeeping mission in Congo on October 29 last year. He joined Bangladesh army on January 16, 2003.

He is survived by his wife, one son and a host of relatives and well- wishers to mourn his death.

Bangladesh Army expressed deep shock at the sudden demise of Amir Hossain and expressed sympathy to the bereaved family members.
