The police members received injuries and a dacoit sustained bullet would as a group of robbers and police exchanged fire in Lohagora of the port city on Friday afternoon.
The injured police personnel are from Lohagora police station SI Jasim Uddin, ASI Nur Islam and Constable Riaz.
SI Jasim Uddin said: “Police conducted a raid in Adharmaik Awalpara area of Lohagora upazila to arrest robbery case accused Nabi Hossain. Meanwhile, a group of robbers attacked on the police forcing them to open fire.”
Nur Nabi received bullet during the fire exchange. He was admitted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
Police also recovered one locally-made light gun and three rounds of cartridges from the spot.
