The hunt is over for Salman Khan’s heroine in Sooraj Barjatya’s much-talked-about next. According to the rumour mill, Sooraj’s first choice for the role was Deepika Padukone and Salman was insisting on casting his Jai Ho heroine Daisy Shah. But it now emerges that neither could be further from the truth.
Sooraj’s only choice to play the lead actress for his first film in almost eight years was Sonam Kapoor and if the buzz from the Rajshri office is to be believed, the actress has signed on the dotted line.
This will be the first time Sonam and Salman are reunited after her debut film Saawariya, where Sonam’s character was madly in love with Salman’s mystery man. Casting for the film has been in the news for a while.
Neil Nitin Mukesh stepped in to play Salman’s step-brother after Sooraj’s original choice Vidyut Jammwal gave them the run-around. From a bigger pay packet to a meatier role, Vidyut’s many demands exasperated Sooraj.
Salman in reportedly to play double role in the upcoming film. The shoot is finally set to start in May this year.
