A member of the Ansar VDP force has died as a speeding truck ran over him in Ramu upazila of Cox's Bazar.
The dead has been identified as one Babul Mia, 30, son of Rahmat Ali from Kustia, according to police.
Babul Mia was run over by a truck in Paner Chhara area on the Teknaf-Cox's Bazar road around 10pm on Sunday night, locals and witnesses said.
Ramu police station Officer-in-Charge Appela Raju confirmed the death of the Ansar trooper in road accident and endorsed the dead's post as an Ansar member.
