Bangladeshis in Kunming have been advised not to go outside without any emergency.
The direction came following a deadly accident in China that left 33 people dead so far.
No Bangladeshi has been injured in the accident.
Bangladesh Foreign Ministry’s East Asia and Pacific Wing Director General Ashud Ahmed confirmed the matter.
More than 10 knife-wielding attackers slashed people at a train station in a south-western city in what authorities called a terrorist attack by ethnic separatists in western China.
The attackers, most of them dressed in black, stormed the Kunming train station in Yunnan province and started attacking people Saturday evening, according to witnesses.
