Khandakar Mahbubuddin Ahmed, adviser to the BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, died on Saturday evening.
Shyrul Kabir Khan, official of Khaleda Zia's press wing, confirmed the Dhaka Tribune about the death.
The senior BNP leader died from the complications of old age at around 7:40pm at United Hospital of the capital, said Shyrul Kabir.
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia expressed her grief over the death of the party leader.
The first namaz-e-janaza of the BNP leader will be held on the High Court premises at 10:30am on Sunday while the second namaz-e-janaza will be held in front of the party’s Nayapaltan headquarter at 11:30am.
