Language movement veteran Sayeed Uddin Ahmed died at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital early on Saturday. He was 84.
Sayeed Uddin Ahmed died of old age complications around 3am, his son Robi Uddin Ahmed said.
He will be buried at Hetom Kha graveyard in Rajshahi.
Robi Uddin Ahmed said his father has been kept in ICU of RMCH in critical condition.
Rajshahi Medical College Hospital ICU in- charge Dr Jamil Rahman said a medical board was formed for Sayeed as his condition was worsening. He died at around 3am.
Sayeed left behind his three sons, a daughter, and a host of relatives and well wishers to mourn his death.
