Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has urged the people concerned to ensure that the law and order situation across the country is maintained during the T20 World Cup.
She made the request at a programme after inaugurating the Sylhet Divisional Stadium on Friday afternoon.
Meanwhile, she urged local people to help the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), local administration, and law enforcers to maintain law and order during the event.
Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith, State Minister for Youth and Sports Biren Sikdar, and BCB President Nazmul Hasan Papon spoke at the programme.
