BNP backed chairman candidate Nazrul Islam Khan has won in the Upazila chairman polls in Pirojpur securing 34,985 votes.
His nearest rival AL backed chairman candidate Abdul Malek Peyada received 34,563 votes.
Nazrul Islam Khan was declared winner after the results of all 51 centres of Nazirpur Upazila Parishad under Pirojpur district were received.
