Three people including two women were killed and two injured in a road accident early yesterday in Arongghata of Khulna.
The victims were identified as Pripa Rudra, 20, daughter of Pratap Rudra, Joyty, 20, and Zakaria, 27.
OC Abu Musa Khondokar of Arongghata police station, said Pripa Rudra along with her father Pratap Rudra, 55, her relative Joyty and Ritu Islam, 23 another admission seeker, were going to Khulna University in a private car to attend the first year (Honours) admission test.
As the car reached at Rayermohol Akmaner More area on Rupsha-Phultala bypass road a speedy truck from opposite direction collided head on with the private car.
Among them Pripa, Joyty and the car driver Zakaria died on the spot while Pripa’s father Pratap Rudra and relative Ritu received serious injuries. Of the injured, Ritu was taken to Dhaka for better treatment.
