Parliament session until Apr 3

The prevailing inaugural session of the tenth parliament will end on April 3, the Business Advisory Committee of the tenth parliament has decided.

The parliament session will begin after Asar prayers on each day until the end date, a handout from the information ministry has said.

The Business Advisory Committee of the tenth parliament led by the Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury sat in their first meeting on Thursday afternoon.

A decision has been made for 45 hours of discussion in the light of the speech given by President Abdul Hamid, the information ministry handout said.

Committee members include opposition leader Rawshan Ershad, HM Ershad, deputy leader Syeda Sajeda Chowhudry, Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim, Tofail Ahmed, deputy Speaker Fazle Rabbi Mia, Chief Whip ASM Feroz, Mainuddin Khan Badal and Anisul Haque were present at the meeting along with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

The tenth parliament commenced from January 29 with Awami League at its lead and Jatiya Party as the main opposition after the January 5 national election.
