A case has been filed with the Gaibandha court on Wednesday afternoon against the director general of the primary and mass education department and the deputy commissioner of Gaibandha and four others.
A total of 39 guardians of brilliant students of the district here have lodged the case with the Senior Assistant Judge Court on charges of committing scam in the primary scholarship results.
After the hearing, the judge of the court Abdullah Al Mamun has issued summons against six men.
They are the director general of the primary and mass education department, the deputy commissioner, the district primary education officer, Sadar UNO, the upazila primary education officer and director of Snigdha Coaching Centre.
In the case, the guardians alleged that their meritorious kids had done well in the primary school exams held in 2013 but they could not obtain scholarships.
There was no possibility and reason for the collapse in their results they said adding that much irregularity, fraud and corruption had been adopted in the scholarship results.
The guardians suspected it after seeing the scholarship results published on February 16.
The guardians also demanded a re-evaluation of the scholarship results and exemplary punishment for the people who were involved in the dirty act.
