There is no bar to hold Shibganj upazila election in Bogra on Thursday as the High Court has vacated it previous order of halting it.
Returning Officer Khorshed Alam said: “The High Court has vacated its previous order, so the upazila election will be held tomorrow [Thursday].”
Earlier in the day, the High Court had ordered to halt the upazila election after the people of Majihotto union filed a writ with the court, demanding their election be held with Dupchachia upazila.
