The Walton Smart TV Inter District Volleyball, in which 44 districts will participate across seven venues in the country, starts tomorrow.
Bangladesh Volleyball Federation looked forward to find new talents at the meet, the final round of which will be held in Dhaka at the end of April. The tournament will start at Naogaon tomorrow and will conclude at Barisal on March 11. The other venues are Habiganj, Narail, Panchgarh, Gazipur and Cox’s Bazar. The sponsors, Walton provided a purse of Tk600,000 for the smooth running of the meet.
Meanwhile, Adv. Fazle Rabbi Babul, the secretary of the organising committee, while presenting the meet to the press in a briefing held at the BNS conference room said they are planning to hold an international meet with India, Nepal and Sri Lanka on the occasion of independence.
S.M. Zahid Hasan, the executive director and A.F.M. Iqbal bin Anwar Dawn, the additional director were also present on the occasion.
