Police authorities of the Dhaka range have announced a bounty of Tk2 lakh on Sunday for helping in the arrest of the three convicted JMB militants who were snatched from police prison van.

Deputy Inspector General of Dhaka range Mahfuzul Haq Nuruzzaman told the Dhaka Tribune.

A four-member probe body led by Additional DIG (admin) Faruk Hossain has also been formed in this connection.

They have been asked to submit report within four days.

Authorities of all border posts, immigration offices and airports have been alerted by sending SMS so that no snatched militant can leave the country, Nuruzzaman added.

Earlier in the morning, three militants, two on death rows, have been snatched away after assailants attacked a prison van in Trisal upazila, Mymensingh.

A policeman died in the attack.
