A committee has been formed to investigate the incident of snatching of three Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) militant members.

The Home Ministry formed the four-member committee on Sunday afternoon just a few hours after bomb specialist Mizan, militant Rakib Hasan Sohel and militant Salauddin Salehin were snatched away from Trishal of Mymensingh.

The committee, headed by Additional Secretary (police) Nazim Uddin Chowdhury, was asked to submit its report within three working days.

The other members of the committee are Dhaka Range Deputy Inspector General (DIG) SM Mahfuzul Haque Nuruzzaman, Tipu Sultan of DIG prison headquarters and Deputy Secretary Khairul Kobir Menon.

Joint Secretary Mohammad Iftekharul Islam Khan confirmed about the formation of the investigation committee to the Dhaka Tribune.

Earlier in the day, three militants had been snatched away after assailants attacked a prison van in Trisal upazila, Mymensingh.
