Gujarat chief minister and BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi has said "infiltrators from Bangladesh" must be sent back, reports Bangalore based web portals the One India.
While addressing 'Barak Vikas Samavesh' rallyat at Silchar in Assam, Modi said: “The infiltrators from Bangladesh who are here on political motives must be sent back."
“Not just Assam, all states must accept Hindu refugees from Bangladesh,” he said.
"The people of Assam are troubled because of Bangladesh and Pakistan is worried because of me."
Modi mocked chief minister Tarun Gogoi critising his government's "votebank politics" and attacked the Congress party as well by saying it is beginning of the end of the party.
"When your CM finds out that I am about to come here, he suffers sleepless nights," he said.
He questioned Gogoi's absence during the 2012 floods saying "He was in USA and went to Japan after that."Modi is scheduled to address another rally in Tripura.
However, earlier on Thursday Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi urged people of his state to treat BJP Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi as a "mehman" (guest) during his rally here on Saturday.
"(Modi) will stay here only two or three hours. He is a mehman (guest) visiting us for such a short time, so treat him as you treat a guest," Gogoi said.
