A mother and her two-year old son were killed in a road accident in Bhuapur upazila under Tangail district on Friday noon.
The deceased were identified as Maya Begum, 25, wife of Jewel and their son Miraz, hailed from Jughati village under Ghatail upazila of the district.
Officer-in-Charge of Bhuapur police station M Hares Ali Miah told the Dhaka Tribune: “A Tarakanda bound passenger bus ran over Jweel’s motorcycle near Shialkol area of the upazila at around 1pm, leaving Maya and Jewel dead on the spot.
Critically injured Jewel was admitted to Tangail General Hospital, the OC said.
