Custom officials have seized 90 gold bars weighing around 11kg at Shah Amanat International Airport of Chittagong on Friday morning.
The gold bars have been recovered from an Oman Airlines flight in the morning.
Immigration Officer-in-Charge Provash Chandra said: “The custom officials recovered the gold bars worth Tk4.5 crore in an abandoned condition from a handbag from the flight from Muscat.”
He said the flight had landed at the airport around 9:30am.
Provash said no one has been arrested in connection with the matter.
